The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

DAY 02; Manchester  

Today after breakfast, proceed for a guided tour of Manchester city- well known for its cotton mills (add details about sightseeings) and later proceed for a guided visit to the Famous Manchester United Club.

DAY 03; Manchester – Lake District  

Today, check-out and drive through the Lake District National Park, with lakes dotting the mountainous region. A scenic cruise on Lake Windermere the largest English Lake.

DAY 04; Lake District – Edinburgh

Today, embark for a drive to Edinburgh where bagpipes, pubs and local history go hand in hand. En route, arrive at Pencaitland to visit the Glenkinchie Whiskey distillery, a working malt whisky distillery. A guided tour of the distillery provides information on how Scotland’s national drink has been made since 1840. A taste of the Glenkinchie Single Malt is included to remind you of your visit.

DAY 05; Edinburgh

Today, meet your local guide for a highlight city tour of Edinburgh where you will hear and see the history and culture of this city. The Scottish parliament, imposing Edinburgh Castle a historic fortress which dominates the skyline of the city of Edinburgh from its position on the Castle Rock. The Royal Mile – connecting the two royal residences leading from Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyrood – the official residence of the British Monarch in Scotland.

The walk past Sir Walter Scott Monument to Princes Street is the southernmost street of Edinburgh’s New Town. Princes Street is one of the major thoroughfares with its main shopping street a visitors delight.

DAY 06; Edinburgh – York  

This morning, proceed to York. On arrival, proceed on a guided city tour takes you to discover its exquisite architecture and picturesque cobblestones. York will capture hearts of all ages. Visit Clifford’s Tower for a stunning view of the historic city. See the Castle Museum, elegant Fairfax House, one of the finest Georgian mansions in England. The Jorvik Viking Centre is an exciting mixture of combat, academic, archaeological and historical events celebrating the fearsome Vikings that once ruled this great land.

Continue your city tour, at the Shambles with overhanging timber-framed buildings, It was once known as ‘The Great Flesh Shambles’. The York City walls are known variously as York City Walls, the Bar walls or the Roman walls. Visit York Minster, a cathedral one of the largest of its kind in Northern Europe.

DAY 07; York – London  

Today, it’s on to London. On arrival, embark on a short highlight guided tour gives you direction as you have the rest of the day at leisure in the city to discover, delve and delight.

 

DAY 08; Homeward Bound
